Dr. Sadeghian received the B.A.Sc. (Hons.) degree from Tehran Polytechnic University, the M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Toronto, all in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Since 1999, he has been with the Department of Computer Science at Ryerson University, where he holds the position of the Chair and Associate Professor.
Dr. Sadeghian has published over 50 technical manuscripts and papers in the areas of Nonlinear Modeling, Knowledge-Based Expert Systems, Artificial Neural Networks, Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Networks, and Cryptography. He is the recipient of Ryerson's University first PRECRAN Funding award, and FEAS Teaching Excellence Award. He has also served on a number of professional and academic boards including Education Committee of IEEE Neural Network Council, reviewer for NSERC (Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council), OCE (Ontario Centre of Excellence), PREA (Premier's Research Excellence Awards), CFI (Canada Foundation for Innovation), as well as reviewer for the academic journals -- IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man and Cybernetics; IEEE Transactions on Information Theory; IEEE Transactions on Magnetics; IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics; IEEE Transaction on Data and Knowledge Engineering, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Instrumentations and Measurement, Journal of Fuzzy Sets & Systems; EURASIP Signal Processing Journal -- and he has lectured extensively on Artificial Intelligence. He is a Senior Member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers).
