Biography:

Dr. Misic received her PhD degree in Computer Engineering in 1993, from School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia. She joined Department of Computer Science at Ryerson University in July 2009 where she is Full Professor. From 2003 to 2009 she was with University of Manitoba. From 1995 till 2003 she was with Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She is senior member of IEEE and member of ACM.

• Vehicular ad hoc networks
• Machine type communications
• Communications and security in SmartGrid
• Body area networks
• Performance evaluation of cloud computing centers.
• Cognitive personal area networks networks, Dynamic spectrum allocation
• Network security
• WLANs, WPANs, wireless sensor networks
• Applications of wireless sensor networks in healthcare and environmental monitoring.
